India was picked up as a stray. She was very underweight and heartworm positive. Many dogs in the program end up with kennel cough at some point, but because of her unhealthy state, it turned into pneumonia. She is having a rough time, and we are hoping she will get better soon with her twice daily nebulizer treatments and antibiotics. In her first temporary foster home she was sleeping with 10 small dogs under the covers, so she is great with little dogs. In her current foster home, she is being kept separate due to her illness. India then developed Pancreatitis and was having to get Sub-Q fluids. Seems to be doing better now, but please keep her in your thoughts as we haven’t even started her HW treatment.
