Eeyore is a very cute 7-month-old Tuxedo kitten (as of 9/26/16).   Eeyore is not a gloomy boy at all, but rather a rambunctious and playful, happy kitten!  He loves attention and will try to climb up your legs to be on your lap for petting and snuggle.  He did test positive for FeLV due to his mother being a virus carrier. He is currently healthy and doing well.  He can live with other FeLV positive cats or on his own.  We would be happy to provide you more information about caring for FeLV positive cats if you are interested adopting him.

JD is a young Calico about two years of age. She came to us from a high volume shelter. During her routine vetting she tested positive for FELV on an Elisa test – the general round of testing. Her IFA test, however, was negative. This negative result means that the disease has not progressed and it is possible for her to beat FELV and test negative in the future. However, she is still considered positive. JD is a very sweet loving girl who would love a home with her son as they have become very bonded since they have been together.
Both JD and Eeyore have been very healthy and have not had any issues. FeLv positive cats can live normal lives with proper veterinary care and diet. We are happy to answer any questions!
Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. Please email cats@ildoberescue.com for more information. Eeyore and JD’s adoption fee’s are sponsored  with an approved application!  The cats have both had vet exams, flea and ear mite checks, fecal tests, vaccines, FeLV/FIV tests, neuter/spays and microchips.
Eeyore and JD are fostered in SHOREWOOD.
