Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. Please read our eligibility requirements and apply on our website: www.ildoberescue.com/adopt. After an application is submitted, additional inquiries can email email@example.com
Bubba is a sweet, warm-hearted, affectionate and handsome boy with soulful looking brown eyes who was already in a shelter in Texas when the hurricane hit. To make room for dogs orphaned from the storm, IDR+ offered to take him to help other Texas Doberman rescues when the storm dogs were released from a month-long stray hold. The Texas shelter he came from had no information on him as he was surrendered in an overnight cage outside. Bubba appears to be about 3 years old and has a decent coat for a “blue” doberman. He is a smaller guy at about 48 pounds and should add a couple of more pounds with a good diet. He has fallen into his foster home routine in no time! He sleeps through the night in his crate and enjoys going in and out of his crate during the day. Bubba is currently living with other dobermans and chihuahuas and is getting along just fine. He has not been cat tested since there are no cats in his foster home. Bubba appears to be housebroken and is learning the word “out” following his foster friends. He does enjoy car rides. He pulls somewhat on his leash for walks which can be addressed and worked on. Bubba is so sweet and now deserves his furever home!
