Willie is a smart, fun loving, active, and handsome 7-month-old goofball. Willie is your typical Doberman puppy, full of energy and thinks everything is fun but needs to work on his manners so he will require a home that has experience with working breeds. He does know basic commands; sit, lay down, paw, touch and is working on improving the duration of his stays. He is just waiting for somebody to help mold him into the perfect companion.
In his foster home, some of his favorite hobbies are chasing bubbles and playing fetch around the yard, playing with the resident dogs, following his foster parents around the house, snuggling while watching TV, and going for nice long walks in the neighborhood. Willie walks pretty well on a leash, though he can pull once in a while but has no issues with other dogs, humans, or other distractions while on walks! Willie sleeps quietly in his crate at night and is crated while his foster parents are at work and has had no issues. He lets you know when he has to go out to potty by going to the door.
While he does love to play with the resident dogs, Willie would be just fine as an only dog. He did live with cats for a short time in his last home and we were told he did not pay much attention to them. Since Willie is an active puppy and sometimes jumps up on people when excited, it’s best if his home has teenagers that have experience with dogs. Willie is used to a fenced in yard but can be leash walked as long as his new home has an exercise plan. As a 7-month-old, Willie will require obedience training ensure his success.
