If you are interested in fostering a cat or kitten, we can ALWAYS use more help! The shelter from where we rescue our cats is very crowded and takes in a high volume of animals. The majority of cats that arrive there are euthanized (approximately 95%). If you have a spare bathroom, bedroom, or large dog crate than you can help save a life. IDR+ will pay for all veterinary work on your foster cat as well as reimburse for food and litter costs. The main requirements are that your current cats must be altered, vaccinated, and in good health.

If you are unable to foster a cat or kitten in your home, there are other ways to help! Please consider helping to transport a rescued cat. This could mean driving the cat from the shelter to its new foster home. Or, taking a cat to a vet appointment. Further, you can help at one of the existing foster homes to help socialize, feed, clean, etc. Just let us know and we will connect you with the foster home nearest to you. Finally, if you are strong of heart, you can actually visit the shelter itself and help cuddle and socialize the cats and kittens waiting to get into the IDR+ rescue program.
