I had lost my 2 year-old rescue boxer/husky mix to a massive seizure right before Christmas after not having had a dog for over ten years. I missed my guy terribly and convinced my husband to adopt another dog. We had been hearing quite a lot about Dobes, so after some research decided to take the plunge. I’m so grateful we did! Ryder, his brothers, and mama came to IDR from Kansas City after their owner dropped them off at a shelter, starving. We brought Ryder home in January 2011–one of the coldest winters ever! Ryder is the sweetest boy! He loves to steal my socks and lay his head on my lap until I stop what I’m doing and give him some attention–usually his treat ball. LOL All those awful stories you hear about Dobes are SO not true. Ryder is one of the most loving and intelligent dogs I’ve ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with. Thank you IDR for saving my little guy!!
