Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. Cosmo is a handsome 2-year-old male who came to us after being rescued from a tough situation. Despite his rough start, he’s full of life, enthusiasm, and potential. This energetic boy is always ready for action and would make an excellent running or adventure partner for an active home.

Cosmo is crate trained and keeps his crate clean. He’s smart, eager to please, and truly tries his best to be a good boy. He thrives with structure, consistency, praise, and clear boundaries—making him a wonderful “project pup” for someone who enjoys training and watching progress.

A securely fenced yard is a must for Cosmo. He can easily clear shorter fences, so a 6-foot fence or a solid exercise plan is required to keep him safe and happy. No chickens, please—Cosmo finds them a little too interesting.
