Meet Kiara!
Kiara is a beautiful red Doberman who is over 10½ years young, and honestly, she’s doing a pretty great job of ignoring that number. She’s healthy, happy, has plenty of pep in her step, and is just an all-around easy dog.
Kiara was found as a stray with another dog. Her microchip led us to a previous owner who had rehomed her, but when her most recent family didn’t come looking for her, we stepped in to make sure this sweet senior was safe.
And sweet doesn’t even begin to describe her. Kiara is affectionate, gentle, and incredibly easygoing. She loves attention, gives adorable little head nudges when she wants more, and has perfected the classic Doberman lean. Basically, if you’re looking for a dog who wants to be loved and be by your side, Kiara is your girl.
She lives with both large and small dogs in her foster home and gets along well with everyone. She mostly ignores the cats. She is completely housebroken, crate trained (although she doesn’t need to be crated), and has not had a single accident. She is also incredibly quiet and has never been a complainer.
Kiara may be a senior, but she still has so much love to give. She doesn’t need a complicated life or a long list of activities—she just wants a comfortable home, some affection, and someone to love. She is move-in ready and remarkably easy to have around.
Senior dogs like Kiara are often overlooked simply because of a number. Don’t make that mistake. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, affectionate companion who will happily settle into your life and be by your side, Kiara could be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.
