Meet Norma!
Norma is a 4-year-old red Doberman who came to us as a stray. While we don’t know much about her past, she has proven to be a calm and easy houseguest in her foster home.
She has a gentle nature and can be a little shy in new situations, but with patience and encouragement, she settles in nicely. Norma hasn’t been fully introduced to the resident dogs yet, but she has shown no negative reactions and would likely do well with a laid-back companion. She could also be perfectly happy as an only dog.
Norma crates well and does best when confined if left alone, as she can become a bit anxious when left on her own for long periods. Because of this, she would thrive in a home where someone is around for a good portion of the day.
Norma has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, which is not uncommon in Dobermans. She will need to remain on medication for life, but the medication is affordable and easy to manage.
Norma is a steady, sweet dog who will make a wonderful, loyal companion for the right home.
