Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. Meet Zeus! This skinny young guy needs some TLC and maybe a jacket! His DOB is 9/27/2019 so he’s about 4.5 years old. Although his fur is a little sparse, you’ll have much less on your floor to vacuum. With good nutrition (and he desperately needed that) it’s possible that his coat condition could improve. He came to us after being surrendered to a shelter in eastern Kentucky for financial reasons and we were told he lived with another dog. He’s very thin at the moment but we’re working on getting him to gain some weight. Once filled out, he’ll be a good-sized boy. He does follow some commands: sit, down, and will give paw. This sweetheart is settling into his foster home so stay tuned as we get to know him.
