Kya truly loves her people and is unusually social for an Akita. She happily welcomes attention from new friends, leans in for pets, and never says no to a good belly rub. She’s sweet, confident, and incredibly easy to live with — the definition of a “move-in-ready” companion.

In her foster home, Kya has been an absolute gem. She is fully housebroken, crate trained, quiet in the home, and respectful of her space. She rides beautifully in the car, walks nicely on leash, takes treats gently, and already knows commands like paw and down. She’s the kind of dog who settles in quickly and makes herself part of the family right away.

Kya would thrive as the only dog in the home where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. Because she’s a big, playful girl when excited, a home with teens and older is recommended.
