Sophie is a 1-year-old French Bulldog looking for her forever home after a rough start to life. She came to us after being found stray with cherry eye and a hernia, and has since had all of her vetting completed along with two surgeries to correct everything. She’s feeling great now and is almost ready for adoption.
At around 30 lbs, Sophie is a bigger Frenchie girl with an even bigger personality. She’s friendly, social, and loves meeting people. She does great with kids and has truly never met a stranger. If there’s someone nearby willing to pet her or say hello, Sophie is all in.
She is house trained and doing well in her foster home. Sophie gets along with other dogs, but she can be a little bossy at times, so slow introductions are important. She would do best with a laid-back dog companion or as an only dog. She’s also fine with cats, though she may occasionally try to playfully chase them.
Sophie is very people-oriented and would love a home where someone is around most of the time. She does not like being crated and doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods. She’s happiest when she’s near her people and involved in whatever is going on.
Sophie has a fun, goofy personality and is going to make someone a really great companion.
