Meet Stacy, a 6-month-old, 32-pound female Doberman-Malinois mix who is ready to find her forever home. Stacy was found as a stray along with her sister, and though she’s had a rough start, she’s blossoming in her foster care. She’s still working on her housebreaking, and because she’s very underweight, it takes her a little longer to hold her potty, but she’s making progress every day.
It’s clear Stacy hasn’t had the chance to live inside before, but she’s learning fast. She’s incredibly food-driven, which makes her an eager learner, so she’s likely to do great with obedience training—even in a group setting. Stacy is friendly, affectionate, and adores playing with all kinds of toys.
Though she’s not a huge fan of the crate (she much prefers being close to her human), we’re slowly increasing her comfort level with it. In fact, today she even pulled a rug into the crate and had a bit of fun chewing holes in it!
Stacy is going to be a bigger girl, so she’d do best in a home with kids 8 and older who can handle her playful, jumpy energy. She’s friendly with both cats and dogs of all sizes, and a fenced yard is a must for her to run and explore safely.
