Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. The adoption fee includes vet exam, FIV/FeLV test, age-appropriate spay/neuter through IDR+ approved vet, age-appropriate vaccinations, fecal test, flea and ear mite check, and microchip. Chocolate is a very handsome chocolate brown cat – possibly even a Havana Brown! After spending time living outside for a while, he came to us in rough shape, but he’s been healing up and has really come out of his shell.

Chocolate has turned out to be a very social, outgoing cat with a personality that’s hard to miss. He will greet you at the door and immediately start talking to you when you get home like he’s catching up on your day. Honestly, we’re starting to think he might believe he’s part dog.

He loves attention and being around his people, and his little chirps and meows make him very entertaining to have around the house. Now that he’s enjoying indoor life, he’s fully embracing it.

Chocolate gets along GREAT with other cats and is also good with kids and dogs. He’s a highly social cat with a truly unique look and personality that really stands out.
