Medical hold – heartworm positive.

Hanson is a sweet, gentle 2-year-old boy who is ready for a second chance at the life he deserves. After being abandoned, he has shown nothing but resilience and kindness, quickly proving what a wonderful companion he can be.

Hanson is dog-friendly and has done well socializing with other dogs in his foster home. He is fully house trained and does his business outside like a champ.

This well-mannered boy already knows his basic commands, including sit, stay, wait, and lay down. He does need a little encouragement to go into his crate and may whine briefly, but he settles and does well once inside. Hanson does not get on furniture and shows a naturally respectful demeanor in the home.

Hanson is calm, gentle, and eager to please—an ideal companion for someone looking for a loving, steady dog. He does not seem to be a good fit for a home with cats.

Despite the rough start he was given, Hanson remains trusting and kind, and he’s ready to bond deeply with a family who will never give up on him again.
