Meet Madison! This gorgeous 7-year-old Doberman is incredibly smart, loyal, affectionate, and full of personality. She is the kind of dog who will keep you laughing while also becoming deeply devoted to her person.
Madison is a clever girl who loves having a job to do. When she first arrived, she quickly figured out how to open doors, defeat gates, and help herself to anything she found interesting! She’s learned a lot since then and is highly trainable, especially when positive reinforcement and treats are involved. She thrives with structure, consistency, and having something to keep her mind busy.
She enjoys getting out for walks and staying active, but she doesn’t need to be on the go all day. Once she’s had some exercise and mental enrichment, Madison is perfectly happy to settle down and nap while you work. She would do well with someone who enjoys getting outside but also wants a dog who can relax at home.
Madison absolutely LOVES using her nose and would have a blast with activities like nose work or barn hunt. She does have a prey drive, so squirrels and bunnies are extremely exciting, and she needs a home without cats or small animals.
She’s housebroken, crate trained, and does well with a routine. She can be a little creative with her bedding when crated, but that’s just part of Madison’s charm.
Madison isn’t looking for a perfect family — she’s looking for her person. Someone who appreciates a smart, affectionate Doberman, will keep her mind engaged, and wants a loyal companion by their side.
