Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. Say hello to Lucky Liberace! A handsome 7-year-old Doberman that reluctantly came to IDR+ when his elderly owners were unable to continue to care for him. While he was never fond of neighboring dogs, he has adjusted well to life at the kennel. His owners said he was very reactive to other dogs, so a home as an only dog would be best. Despite that, he loves to run up and down the dog runs with fellow adoptable Dobermans alongside him.

Lucky Liberace is a little stout at 70 pounds but the running will help him lose a little weight. His ideal home is one with a fenced in yard for him to run or a family that likes to go for walks. He has been a great resident as he goes right into his run and is housebroken. He is just a happy-go-lucky guy in search of a new family that he will certainly make just as happy.
