April 27, 2026:

It’s hard to believe it’s been a month since Milo joined us! He is now just over 40 lbs and his wounds have almost completely healed. He knows a few tricks/commands (sit, down, stay) and learning touch, dance, and drop it. and doing well with crate training. He is the sweetest boy but does think he’s a lap dog. He loves kids but due to him being a big puppy, older kids would be best. He is also good with dogs and cats. He’s a snuggle bug and prefers to sleep next to someone – human or dog is fine with him.

March 22, 2026:

MarMilo is a 6-month-old Doberman mix who was brought to a vet by a relative of the owner who was visiting from out of town after being found in devastating condition. He is severely underweight, has in painful pressure sores from being left on hard surfaces, and is down on his pasterns. At an age where he should be strong and active, his body has been pushed to the brink.

The neglect he endured is hard to comprehend.

Now safe in foster care, Milo is finally getting a chance. In just one week, he gained 8 pounds and is now up to 29 lbs. His wounds are starting to heal, and his personality is starting to shine.

Milo isn’t available for adoption yet – right now, his focus is on healing and rebuilding strength. His recovery will take time, medical care, and consistent support to give him the best chance at a normal life.

Cases like Milo’s are not easy, and they are not inexpensive. If you’re able to donate toward his care, it will go directly to his medical treatment, nutrition, and rehabilitation.

He deserved a better start than this. We’re doing everything we can to make sure he still gets a better ending.
