Meet Remi, a gorgeous red Doberman who is around 2 years old (possibly a little younger) and full of the classic Doberman charm. This handsome boy is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves being around his people. He is calm and well-mannered when hanging out at the office, but like any young Doberman, he still has plenty of puppy energy and needs regular exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation to keep him happy and out of trouble.
Remi is crate trained, potty trained, and a great car companion. He knows basic commands and is continuing to work on his leash skills. He is a very strong puller, so his adopter will need to be prepared to continue working with him and help him learn proper leash manners.
Remi is doing well with a dog-savvy cat in his foster home, but like many young Dobermans, he has a playful, curious nature and should be closely monitored around cats. A cat or kitten that runs and zooms around may be too tempting for him, and he may want to chase.
When it comes to other dogs, Remi does best with female dogs and would likely be okay in a home with a laid-back female companion. He tends to butt heads with other male dogs or dogs with a strong “alpha” personality. With the right canine match and proper introductions, Remi can be a wonderful addition to a multi-dog household.
Remi is looking for a family who understands the Doberman breed and can provide the structure, training, exercise, and attention that a young Doberman needs. He loves his people, enjoys affection, and has so much potential to become an incredible lifelong companion.
This handsome boy has so much love to give and is ready to find a home where he can continue to grow into the amazing Doberman he is meant to be.
