Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. Whitney is a beautiful 1-year-old Doberman who is smart, playful, eager to please, and just waiting for someone to see what a special girl she can be.

Whitney is a sensitive girl who is still building confidence, so she needs an experienced, patient home that can give her the structure, consistency, and guidance she needs to thrive. She listens very well when she’s on leash and genuinely wants to please her person. One of her favorite things in the world? FETCH! Give Whitney a ball and she is ready to play.

She has a fun, energetic personality. Her play style can also be rough and energetic, so she would do best with a confident, playful dog who won’t be overwhelmed by her rather than a shy or reserved pup.

Whitney is looking for someone who understands Dobermans and appreciates that building confidence takes time. She may need a little patience to trust and settle in, but once she does, you’ll have an intelligent, affectionate girl who is eager to be by your side and make you happy.

Whitney isn’t looking for just any home — she’s looking for her person. Someone who will give her direction, believe in her, and enjoy watching this young girl grow into the amazing Doberman she’s meant to be.
