Available Plus Dogs: Snickers

Because we are all volunteers, Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus only considers approved applicants to meet our orphans in our foster homes. Say hello to Snickers! This sweet lady recently made her way to IDR+ after she was surrendered to a partnering shelter when her owner was moving and could not bring her with, so we’re just starting to learn about her.

Although she is certainty a mixed breed, she closely resembles a breed called a Berger Picard, which is an athletic, herding breed so she would likely be great in a home with a family that loves outdoor activities. So far we’ve seen that she gets along well with other dogs so we are excited to see her personality bloom. Her foster has noted that she is an easy-going girl, good with other dogs and can easily follow social cues. She loves cats also! She is doing amazing with her housetraining as she is a quick learner. She does not seem to shed but will require routine grooming.
