Meet Darren!

At 98 pounds, Darren is a whole lot of Doberman—and an even bigger heart. This handsome boy is likely of European lineage, giving him that classic large, powerful build, but don’t let his size fool you. Underneath it all is a giant puppy who’s still figuring things out.

Darren is new to rescue, but he’s already shown us what a happy, affectionate guy he is. He greets people with enthusiasm, loves attention, and seems eager to make friends wherever he goes. He has shown interest in playing with other dogs, and we’re excited to continue learning more about him as he settles into foster care.

Like any young pup in a big dog’s body, Darren could use some polishing. He’s incredibly smart and eager to engage, making him the perfect “lump of clay” for someone who enjoys training and wants to shape an amazing companion. With consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement, Darren has all the potential to become an exceptional dog.

Because of his size and strength, Darren is looking for a home with large-breed experience that can provide the guidance, exercise, and leadership he needs to thrive. In return, you’ll get a loyal best friend who loves with his whole heart and is always ready to be by your side.

If you’ve been searching for a big, goofy Doberman with endless potential and an even bigger capacity to love, Darren may just be your perfect match.
