Harrison is a 6-year-old standard poodle who made his way to IDR+ recently with several other poodles from a puppy mill. He can be a bit nervous of meeting new people and new things, but in general he is a very playful and happy dog. In his foster home he is good with other dogs and a bit talkative when excited. He also does well with cats so could fit in easily with most any family dynamic.

He is good on leash going for walks but his true passion is running around in the backyard. Add in a little rolling in the grass and that is about as perfect as a day can be for Harrison. In his foster home he is learning the house rules and is very good in keeping his crate clean.

Harrison loves a good stuffy toy although he’s pretty confident most have too much stuffing so he does his best to unstuff them. He has also developed a special skill in sticking his paw out of his crate to steal the cat toys on the floor nearby.

He loves to eat but is still afraid to take food from people’s hand, so his new family will need to be patient and gentle to let him know that he is now safe and being loved.
